Why the Technology Track?

WHY THIS TRACK

A university lab and corporate R&D both stay opaque until you are inside. At Qualiteg you combine public APIs with the latest AI to build something that runs, and think through what value it would create in the market—all from one seat, while still a student.

We are a startup founded by engineers who led AI R&D and product development at global corporations, and professionals who drove AI, DX, and new business initiatives at leading consulting firms. What you build gets feedback from both sides, the technical and the business, at the same desk.

In an era when AI alone can build things,

become someone who decides what to build, and whose problem it solves.

Together, let's think about how to make the most of the strengths of science and engineering talent that the age of AI calls for, and about the career that follows.

TRACK 2

Technology Track

For science and engineering students. Use our products' public APIs and the latest AI to propose applications and create new value.

In this track you start from our products' public APIs, combine them with the latest AI, and prototype with your own hands what they could be used for and what value they could create. You show what you built to the team, get feedback, and think through which problem it would solve, and for whom, once it reaches the real market.

Themes are yours to assemble freely from public APIs and publicly available models and hardware. You follow frontier research along the way, frame your own question, and verify it yourself.

These days AI alone can build things. That is why we want you to develop a producer's perspective while still a student: deciding what should be built and whose problem it solves. Together, let's also think about how to make the most of the strengths of science and engineering talent that the age of AI calls for, and about the career that follows.

Skills You Will Gain

SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN

Combining APIs into Something Real

Combine our products' public APIs with the latest AI models and turn an idea into something that runs. From knowing about technology to being able to use it.

A Producer's Perspective

Whose problem does the prototype solve once it reaches the market? Translating technology into value. In an era when AI alone can build, this is the skill that sets you apart.

Letting the Demo Speak

Build a demo every week, show it to the team, take the feedback, and rebuild. Including publishing, you learn to put results in a form people understand.

What You Will Do: Technology Track

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1

Find Applications

Get hands-on with what our products' public APIs can do, cross that with the latest AI and public model trends, and look for what they could be used for and what value they could create. Frontier research is explored from this applied angle too.

Public APIs Application Ideas Trend Research
2

Prototype & Verify

Turn the application you found into something that runs, week by week. It can be software that combines public APIs and AI models, or a physical device built from a board and sensors. Make the hypothesis in your head something you can touch.

Prototyping AI × UX Runs on Real Hardware
3

Get Feedback

Run what you built in front of the team. Engineers give feedback on the technical approach, consultants on the customer's point of view, right there. Then rebuild based on the reactions, and repeat.

Demo Review Rebuild Tech & Business Views
4

Connect It to a Market Problem

Think through which problem your prototype would solve, and for whom, once it reaches the real market, and put that into words. In an era when AI alone can build, this is how you become someone who decides what should be built.

Producer's Perspective Problem Discovery Technology to Value
5

Publish, Then Explore Again

What you researched and built is shared at internal study sessions and, with agreement on the content, published on our tech blog and company social media. The reactions become the material for your next exploration.

Research, build, show, publish. Within that loop, let's think together about how to make the most of the strengths of science and engineering talent that the age of AI calls for, and about the career that follows.

Tech Blog Social Media Growth Loop

Areas of Exploration

AI × UX

Experiences that do not exist yet, built by combining our products' public APIs with the latest AI models. Voice, vision, dialogue. From "technically possible" all the way to "feels good to use."

AI × IoT

AI combined with single-board computers and microcontrollers such as Raspberry Pi and Milk-V. Build "a physical device where AI runs" with sensors and cameras, and explore ways to use our WireCanal to reach devices on your desk securely from outside. Enclosures and jigs come off the office 3D printer.

Japanese Language & Culture × AI

Most of our customers are Japanese companies. How AI handles Japanese natural language processing, and expressions and cultural context specific to Japan. Also the kind of exploration found in MotionVox: Japanese phonetic transcription and Japanese gestures and mannerisms. For example, how to teach AI Japanese mannerisms efficiently.

6-Month Roadmap

YOUR GROWTH PATH

1 Month

Foundation

Set up your development environment and tools, learn our products' public APIs and how we work. Build one small prototype first and get a feel for "letting the demo speak."

2-3 Months

Own a Theme

Pick your theme and run experiments and prototypes. A weekly demo and feedback is the basic rhythm. Build, show, rebuild from the reactions.

4-6 Months

Connect to the Market & Publish

Put the prototype into words down to "whose problem it solves," then publish on the tech blog and social media. Take the reactions into your next theme.

A Day in the Life

A DAY IN THE LIFE

10:00 — Arrival & Morning Check-in

Flex-time, so you arrive on your own rhythm. Settle in with a free drink, share yesterday's results and today's plan on Slack, and the day begins.

10:30 — APIs & Experiments (Focus Time)

Mornings are for hands-on trying. Wire up one application that caught your interest on the public APIs and check for yourself whether that use really creates value. When you get stuck, an engineer is sitting right next to you.

13:00 — Lunch (Weekly Free Lunch!)

Once a week the team eats together, with the menu chosen by members' requests. Talk about the latest models one minute, favorite games and movies the next. The flat atmosphere, regardless of title or seniority, is part of Qualiteg's charm.

14:00 — Prototyping & Hardware Tests

Afternoons are for building. Wire models together into a demo, or connect sensors to a board and run it on real hardware. Enclosures and jigs you need come off the office 3D printer.

16:00 — Demo & Feedback

Show the team something that runs. "Is the technical approach sound?" "If this reached the market, who would be glad?" Feedback from both the engineering and the consulting side decides your next move.

19:00 — Head Home

Head home replaying the reactions to today's demo. The notes you jotted down for publishing have quietly become the draft of your next blog post.

Human-Centered AI

AI doesn't replace humans—it amplifies human creativity. That's our philosophy. No matter how advanced the technology, if it's not truly user-friendly, its value is diminished. We always develop products with the goal of unleashing users' creativity.

Flexible Work Style

Remote work and flex-time enable a work style that fits your lifestyle. Our Yotsuya office (PMO Kojimachi) supports diverse work styles from focused work to casual communication. Complete with free drinks and office snacks for peak performance.

Not making AI a privilege of the elite, but a force that deepens everyone's creativity.
Continuously challenging the limits of human creativity—this is why Qualiteg exists.

Our Culture

Where Diversity Meets Professionalism

Engineers who built complex systems at major corporations, consultants who led corporate transformation at global strategy firms, marketers who pioneered real estate tech markets. Qualiteg brings together professionals with proven track records at the forefront of their industries.

What unites us is a global perspective. We think and act with the world in view, not just the Japanese market. Despite diverse backgrounds, everyone works toward the shared goal of "changing the world," respecting and elevating each other's expertise.

Weekly free lunches, regular lunch and dinner gatherings. Animated discussions about technology, moments of laughter from someone's humor, casual conversations about family and weekend plans. In these everyday moments, professionals from different domains naturally exchange ideas and gain new perspectives. This daily communication is the wellspring of our innovation.

Each person's growth creates smiles for their families too. We want to be a company where everyone—our team members and their loved ones—can live with joy.
